If you spend any time working on your home then you no doubt have a drill. Nearly every one I have ever met has a normal hammer drill. I always ask them why they do not have an SDS type drill and they often reply that they have no idea what I am talking about!
There is a difference between a normal hammer drill and an SDS rotary hammer drill. The SDS drills are far more powerful and really do help you to drill holes in tough surfaces with little effort. The chucks are key less and the bits do not burn out anywhere near as much as they would on a normal hammer drill.
The most powerful rotary hammer drill, the demolition hammer can chop up concrete like butter. These are very expensive and are not recommended for home use but next time you are going to buy a new drill then you must check out the SDS type drills.
